Visiting Backyard Critters

Goldfinch at the feeder - his summer plumage is still coming in.

A gorgeous Indigo Bunting.

A White-breasted Nuthatch.  These forage along with Tufted Titmice and Chickadees, who visit frequently.

My friend Lizzie, a green anole who
just loves the Virgin Mary.

These are fledgling flycatchers known as Eastern Phoebes.  Four of them were stuffed in this nest and as soon as Sheri took this shot, they all flew out in a mad dash!

Mrs. Cardinal and her neighbor, Sparrow.  She and her hubby are regulars at this joint.

Boys' night out for the Indigo males.  The wives usually come on their own too.

A male hummingbird who whirrs and squeaks in the most amazing way.  Have seen a female too.  They're both a little camera skittish.

Another hummer at suppertime.  Too bad it's basically a silhouette.  This evening they were having hummer wars, buzzing past my head.

On May 4, Sheri added to her four-footed family by bringing home Cotton, a 5 month-ish old Lab mix.  Cats Carly and Phoebe are adjusting.
