Train to Metaphor

My name is Sam and I conduct the westbound line
I take the tickets and load the bags and keep a watch
on time.
I know the way through this Valley dark and deep
But people come and they ask about this place they’ve
seen in their sleep.

“If I take the train to Metaphor will I know where I stand?
Will there be guiding lights, will there be signs at hand?
If I take the train to Metaphor will Paradise be found?”
I say, you’ve got to trust this track or try another town.

He’s made it through the dragon slaying ground
He knows the maiden, he sees the Grail but the question’s
turnin’ him ‘round.
She’s come alone, leaving everything behind
She’s entered into the darkest passage but light’s what
she’s going to find.

“If I take the train to Metaphor will I know where I stand?
Will there be guiding lights, will there be signs at hand?
If I take the train to Metaphor will Paradise be found?”
I say, you’ve got to trust this track or try another town.

There’s a yearning in your heart
There’s a power within this train
Climb on board so you can start moving.

“If I take the train to Metaphor will I know where I stand?
Will there be guiding lights, will there be signs at hand?
If I take the train to Metaphor will Paradise be found?”
I say, you’ve got to trust this track or try another town.
I say, you’ve got to trust this track or try another town.
