Sheri recently moved out of the metro Atlanta area to the northeast GA mountains to a charming 100 year-old farmhouse between Demorest and Clarkesville, and not far from the Sautee Nacoochee Valley.  2006 ended on a good note when Rambles ("A cultural arts magazine") reviewed Sheri's CD Passions & Prodigals in December. Two new reviews have been posted of Sheri's music.  We just discovered a review by Jenny Ivor of Rambles magazine that called Let It Unfold "a surefire winner" and "instantly enjoyable."  Indie-Music.com also published a review of Heartland that said, in part, "If you want to choose a fabulous album, this is the one."  You can access both reviews on the Articles page.

Sheri's been invited to speak and perform at the 2005 Human Forum, sponsored by the Alliance for the New Humanity an organization founded by Deepak Chopra, Oscar Arias (former president of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Prize laureate) and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Betty Williams. (http://www.anhglobal.org/) The mission of the Alliance is to connect a global compassionate citizenry that influences policies that are closer to the true principles of life, create a critical mass of peace consciousness, and project a new narrative that fully recognizes the oneness of humanity.  The program is still being set, but Sheri's music and message will be a part of it!

New CDs in mastering!  Sheri's new CD Heartland has been completed, and features many of the same great players that performed on Let It Unfold - Joseph Patrick Moore, Jody Worrell, Mark van Allen, Joel Morris and Bill Kahler, along with percussionist Dave Holland.  Sheri has also recorded 11 other songs - a collection of hymns, traditional tunes, covers and a few originals - and those have been compiled into another CD of voice and guitar arrangements entitled Passions & Prodigals.  Both CDs are due out in May.  Stay posted for release concert information!

Sheri has also begun offering something new especially for women - Waking Woman Celebrations!  Find out more about these special events here.

In advance of  her upcoming concerts in Gainesville, FL (3/27) and Bradenton, FL (3/29), Wade Tatangelo at the Bradenton Herald newspaper published a nice review of Sheri's CD.  Click here for info on these FL concerts

I've never been so wowed by an unsigned artist as I have by Sheri Kling and her "Let it Unfold" release...Kling's songs are witty, real and poignant. Kling's voice - a clear, strong instrument of beauty - brims with the kind of lived-in experience that immediately makes one lean forward and feel a connection.   Click here to read the review

Let It Unfold was reviewed today on the Folkwax website by P. Kellach Waddle, a contributing editor based in Austin who called the CD "transcendantly well done."  The review closed with this paragraph -

Sheri has certainly convinced me with this spiritual album that her talent as a songwriter and singer are undeniable and glorious. So what if she doesn't communicate a lot of angst? Communicating hope and love without being saccharine or disturbingly clueless is a whole lot harder to do successfully than to wail about pain. I still am a big fan of the darkness, but if you want a little light in your listening I implore you to get this album. I bet you will be sweetly surprised and sucked into the gorgeousness and optimism as I shockingly was myself.  ~ P. Kellach Waddle, Folkwax
